Illustrator and author of children’s books. Characterised as innovative and interactive by audience and press. With her cheerful and wayward illustrations, Loes Riphagen stands out to the audience, press and juries. In 2007, she graduated at Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. She made her debut as author and illustrator of children’s books with Bedroom Beasties, a picture book that was nominated for the Kinderboekenwinkelprijs 2010.

Since then, her work has been awarded several times. Her book 'Yes, Coco can!' was awarded Picturebook of the year 2021 in the Netherlands. 

Her work has been published in a number of countries, including France, Russia, Germany, USA, Latvia, Finland, Denmark, China, South Korea, Portugal, Japan and Slovenia.
